Updating the App

Before updating, please check the Before Upgrading instructions!

The App can be updated directly through Splunkbase (On-premises and Splunk Cloud) by uploading a new version through the UI or CLI (On-premises only).

Mandatory Tasks

After the update, there may be some additional update tasks required. AME will spawn an informational message to remind you about the update.

All mandatory updates are found under the Administration menu within the Setup page under the Update tab.

It is recommended to run the update immediately after the app update to ensure the proper functionality of the App.
